Sadly Ian Stirling died after a tragic accident whilst competing in the 3C UIM European Championship at Harwich Powerboat Festival last Saturday.  John Puddifoot, of the RYA, said: "Mr Stirling was a highly experienced pilot with 25 years of powerboat racing at a European and world championship level. He is going to be greatly missed within the powerboat racing family. Our deepest condolences go to Mr Stirling's longstanding partner and family at this very sad time." ThunderCat Racing UK wish to extend their heart felt sympathy to all that knew Ian as he was the Grandad of British racing and loved by all! We will never forget!

Ok Teams, I am informing you that we at HQ UK will be adopting the same look as ThunderCat Racing Ireland to bring continuity to the series. Also Time Keepers have found it difficult to read the boat numbers so we will try this design in 2010 to see if it works better, the standard design is the cats head at the back and the number stripe, we will then put sponsors in the centre, front, nose cone and underneath. Please be aware of what they will look like as they don't conform to the size etc as per rules.

NOTE: THE CHANGE IN DATE!! THIS WAS DUE TO IT CLASHING WITH WITH UIM GENERAL ASSEMBLY IN MALTA.. NEW DATE IS 21ST - 24TH OCTOBER 2010 - European Championship will be staged in Southern Ireland! an event not to be missed. Mr Denis Dillion ISA has confirmed the date and venue will follow shortly; this will be exciting times for Ireland as its first major event for P750 racing ever staged.. ThunderCat's are Go - Europe, Ireland are calling us to get all our competitors to compete in what should be one amazing European Championship - the hospitality will of course be in true Irish form!!

 Come on Lads and Lasses, it's the time of year when we need to shead a few pounds and get fit for the season (for some of us sheading a few stone is more appropriate). Chasing the Racing! (click on the header for full article) Cold, wet and with biggest smile on my face that you would have ever seen is how you would have found me four years ago! I was at Stewartby Water Sports lake waist deep in the water helping launch anyone and everyone who had a Circuit race boat, in the slip way and I loved every minute of it!

Whether special needs, disadvantaged or just a spoilt brat; we as adults need to show our kids how to better themselves whilst having FUN, 'an education to life program'.
