Thundercat Racing meets ART in Penmaenmawr

'Thundercat Racing community' now prospers due to the surge in growth, not only with competitors and volunteers but we are forging long term partnerships with...

'Dreamwall' our new and exciting charity based in hampshire, that helps youth less fortunate than us. ThunderCat Racing UK will be hosting training days at HQ and inviting the kids to become part of our community assisting at our Adrenaline festivals, gaining valuable experience, self confidence and excellent team building opportunities.

The Children's Trust provides care, education, therapy and rehabilitation to children with multiple disabilities and complex health needs they operate the UK's largest paediatric brain injury rehabilitation centre as well as offering community support for children with acquired brain injury (ABI). Their services include special education for pupils with profound and multiple learning difficulties (pmld), short breaks, transitional, palliative and long-term nursing care. ThunderTour will be taking the kids out in the boats, entertaining them at our festivals during the year; thus helping the children to feel part of the community assisting with their rehabilitation program.

'Southampton Solent University' (SSU). Have agreed for 'Solent Production' to be part of the ThunderCat Racing media enterprise, filming every event with their outside broadcasting trucks producing live-links and footage that will be aired on thundercatracing.TV, commercial channels and their own TV sites.. The growth of this exciting project over the next few years will see expansion to other faculties, enabling students to gain practical commercial experience whilst still at university. SSU has a strong connection to many of us as we all went to the university ending up within the Marine industry, so we are all very excited about this project.

Look on the 'Community' pages for updates on what's happening within all parts of our society!

'Broad spectrum education' is the core of The Thunder community, it's not rocket science, not a cult but common sense and humanity. An excellent book by Stephen Covey illustrates exactly how we believe we will thrieve when others seem to stagnate. The nuclei in our ethos, whether commercially or community is 'Win -Win' to life.

  1. 1. Being Proactive
  2. 2. Begin with the end in mind
  3. 3. Put first things first
  4. 4. Think 'Win-Win'
  5. 5. Seek first to understand, then to be understood
  6. 6. Synergize
  7. 7. Sharpen the saw

Using the above, we all assist each other in forwarding life in all areas; Racers and Officials training programs, helping those less fortunate to access the water and feel possitive about their ability. Being strong means we can see the future in 'high-octane adrenaline festivals, with a core understanding of community'.

Adults: RYA & race tuition taught from the shores of the Solent including boat maintenance, VHF and First Aid courses.

Youth: RYA & race tuition, practical knowledge on boat care and understanding safety on and off the water.

So not to make tuition/education and safety boring, we have come up with a continual progress course that will develop the skills and knowledge of todays youth and tomorrows leaders, whether on land or water.

ThunderCub Racing UK - YOUTH CHALLENGE:
Based on the already recognised and highly acclaimed 'RYA Rib Challenge', our students will have the opportunity to represent 'Thunder Academy' at regional, national and international competitions; 'It's a knock-out' fun designed approved courses will appeal to both spectator and competitor; constructed fundamentally as an educational tool to give our youth training on the water, team building, self confidence and community awareness. Ribs and T25 boats will offer a diverse opportunity for our youth to gain experience in various vessels without purchasing a boat. Training and Thunder Youth Club will be held at HQ in Southampton during the year. Youth from all walks of life and disabilities will be welcomed - be part of our now ever growing lifestyle for all!

For information on RYA Courses; Level 1 and 2, advanced and team building exercises please contact us on fiona@thunderuk.com
